Winner analysis:

Loads of horses meet the sig stats and the generals and they include Some Day Soon (40/1), Tronador (16/1), Highway One O Two (12/1), Navajo Pass (33/1), Politesse (16/1), Solwara One (40/1) and Speech Bubble (8/1).

I’ll assess the ground after day one and go through the form again, but at first glance I think SDS is overpriced, last year’s easy winner Tronador could be well handicapped and SB form looks good.

Gaelic Warrior (4/1) has been well backed over the last 24 hours due to Rich Ricci’s comments however I would be genuinely concerned about his tendency to jump right, even more so on the old course which is used for the first two days. Il Etait Temps (9/2) has the best EW profile along with Facile Vega (12/1), however the latter looks unlikely to run in this race at present, if he did though I will be backing EW.
