Winner analysis:

I am happy to take on the fav, Protekorat, not just because of the sig stat, but I believe he had a hard race in the Gold Cup. He tried to go with the front pair and looked to be putting everything into his race and his jump at the last looked a tired one. 

The horses with the best profiles are Clan Des Obeaux (7/2), Conflated (9/2) and Royal Pagaille (8/1). CDO won this last year and looked impressive, and this has been his target since Christmas and I wouldn’t put anyone off backing him, I just have a doubt that he may have regressed due to his age and that this is a much stronger renewal than last year. Conflated catches my eye and if he had stood up, I think he would have chased Allaho all the way up the Cheltenham hill and 9/2 looks a fair EW bet (4/1 EW first 4 with Skybet). RP would be very interesting if there is plenty of rain and the going changes to soft. I’ll hang fire on him until closer the off time.
